Adding an accountability partner is a great way to stay motivated, consistent, and supported in reaching your goals. By inviting someone you trust to join you, you create a system of encouragement and mutual responsibility.
This guide will walk you through the steps to add an accountability partner and start building a stronger foundation for success.
Step 1: Open the Ever Accountable app in your device.
*If the app has not yet been installed, refer to article “How to Download Ever Accountable on Your Device" for setup instructions.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings in the lower-right section of the application.
Step 3: Select My Accountability Partners.
Step 4: Tap the Add Accountability Partner button.
Step 5: Enter your Accountability Partner’s name.
Step 6: Choose how your Accountability Partner will receive reports—either by email or via SMS (you may select their phone number from your contacts).
Step 7: Tick the checkbox to confirm that the person you added is informed that you’ve chosen them as your Accountability Partner and that they will receive an email or SMS messages from Ever Accountable.
Step 8: Tap Next to continue.
Step 9: Select the type of Accountability you want to set.
Note: There are two types of Accountability:
Share All Activity – All activity will be shared with your Accountability Partner. This option is recommended for maximum transparency.
Share Limited Activity – Only activities identified as concerning will be shared with your Accountability Partner.
Step 10: Tap the Add Accountability Partner button to confirm the adding of new accountability partner.
Step 11: You will be redirected to the My Accountability Partners page, where your new Accountability Partner will appear as successfully added.
Note: Ever Accountable will send an email or text to the accountability partner you just added. This email will contain a confirmation link the partner must click before they begin to receive reports. Be sure to let them know!
